Selma’s idea was to photograph her sister, highlighting her profession as a defence lawyer while also incorporating her personal lifestyle and interests. She therefore chose to photograph her wearing the clothes she typically wears in court, with the black robe as the most distinctive element. For the location, she travelled to her sister’s home and took a total of 530 photographs, both indoors and outdoors in the courtyard of the apartment building.
